Bookeasy is a specialised software management system used by 200 Visitor Information Centre’s and National Parks throughout Australia, NZ and Asia. 

The company was looking for a way to connect and automate availability searches and bookings with their current tour operators whilstand protecting the relationship and commercial agreements (commission, payments, etc) that were already in place between the parties. 

Livn API Direct acts solely as a technical partner, integrating both Bookeasy and their chosen tour operators with no interference in their commercial terms.

A single and simple way to connect their system to a range of tour operators who use an array of different reservation systems.
The Livn API was deeply integrated in to the Bookeasy platform. This enable Bookeasy access to over 20 reservations systems allowing Bookeasy Visitor Information Centre clients to choose from 15,000+ tour operators and 700,000+ products.
Connect directly to the preferred tour operators under their existing commercial agreements already in place.
A project was mobilised with Livn’s supplier connectivity team to map each tour supplier’s system to the Bookeasy system under Livn Direct Connect operating model. This set up ensures that Livn does not interfere in the commercial agreements (negotiated rates, commission) between both parties.
The payment and financial reconciliation should be under Bookeasy responsibility.
The integration of the Livn API into the Bookeasy platform supports existing Bookeasy financial reporting and reconciliation processes. This ensures all transactions can be tracked and attributed to the correct accounts on both the external Supplier systems and the Bookeasy system.
Bookeasy staff must be able to book the products on the same day or within hours to tour departure.
Livn’s access to supplier inventory is 100% live , and with Livn synching the suppliers availability and pricing calendars with the Bookeasy system it meant all the products can be booked autonomously and with confidence.

BUSINESS OUTCOMES

  • Bookeasy & Livn integration replaced the previous manual and labour intensive process of using phone calls for tourism operators to check availability and book tours, activities & attractions for in-destination visitors. 
  • The Livn API was integrated into the Bookeasy system so Visitor Centres and Destinations could access live inventory and book their local preferred tour operators in real-time. 
  • Livn’s existing API infrastructure already had connectivity to most of the tour operators’ reservation systems and bookable inventory, the Livn API was used as a booking switch between the local Centre’s and their tour operators. 
  • Today, the integration supports hundreds of thousands transactions per year, seeing the Visitor Centre’s use their own pre-existing negotiated rates and payment terms with their preferred end tour service providers, with the Livn API simply powering the transaction interactions.
