OVERVIEW

Flight Centre Travel Group is the most renowned travel agency in Australia and New Zealand. They are constantly looking for new partnerships to improve their product and service offerings.

Apart from the direct relationship the company maintains with selected tour operators globally, the bricks & mortar giant was after more global content to complement their current offerings.

Livn agent booking tool aggregates the best experiences from hundreds of tour operators in one single platform (one single login), improving travel agents’ efficiencies whilst meeting the needs of their customers.

Solutions
Travel agents to spend less time when booking tours, activities & attractions.
Livn API is connected directly to the tour operator’s reservations system, eliminating the need for travel agents to wait for availability and booking confirmation. Travel agents can now book products online and get instant travel vouchers directly from the suppliers.
One single platform and login for travel agents to book global tours, activities & attractions products.
Agents can simply login with their pre-approved credentials and start earning commission immediately. Livn also offers live connectivity to its fully managed product warehouse of over 35,000 commissionable global products, with the best possible pre-negotiated rates.
Flight Centre expects new tours, activities & attractions to be added in the platform but did not want to be involved in either procurement or operator content curation.
Livn suppliers’ network encompasses large international operators as well as local companies. Livn has a dedicated team to expand and onboard new tour operators, eliminating the need for additional agreements between the parties.

BUSINESS OUTCOMES

  • Livn successfully implemented a proprietary GUI for tours, activities & attractions that uses the Livn API technology for rendering live bookable content.
  • The implementation is across all the Flight Centre group stores and over 4,000 consultants.
  • Livn's B2B Booking Tool offers a huge range of tours, activities & attractions from across the globe.
  • Through the interaction of the Livn API, travel agents have live access to availability, pricing, and bookings of over 700 global suppliers with 35,000 global products.
  • “Many of our frequent travellers talk about how frustrating it can be to book a tour while overseas. Now that we use Livn, we can check live availability and book it for them. Our clients are able to have a more enjoyable experience when they set off on their holiday.” - Kristen Bews, Flight Centre travel agent

"Travel distribution presents a huge technological challenge due to the complex set of bespoke systems, ageing technology platforms and business processes. Livn enabled us to automate the discovery, procurement and onboard of global tour operators which has proven crucial for us to increase our speed to market, improve business agility and responsiveness, reduce capital and operational costs, and enhance in-store productivity – delivering a better user experience for our staff and customers.”
